How to Perform a Tornado Kick  
 


Key Points:
  • The Tornado Kick is very similar to the jump spinning crescent kick ... the difference whichever of your legs is at the front to begin with is the leg you will kick with e.g. if you start in a right stance, right leg forward, you will end up kicking with that right leg...
  • Always remember to get your knee up as high as possible during the first phase of the spin.
  • Begin using the inner part of your foot to strike with. As you get better at this kick, turn your hips over even more during the kicking phase to allow you to strike with your instep as in a roundhouse kick—this will deliver even more power.
